These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you and Julius ("Julius," "we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of the website yourjulius.com and all related services, including the SMS financial accountability service (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing the Service, joining the waitlist, creating an account, or providing your mobile phone number, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

Julius is designed to help you understand and track your spending habits. Julius is a technology tool, not a licensed financial advisor, bank, credit union, investment advisor, or broker-dealer.
4. Not Financial, Legal, or Tax Advice
THE SERVICE DOES NOT PROVIDE FINANCIAL, INVESTMENT, LEGAL, OR TAX ADVICE. All content, insights, alerts, summaries, and messages delivered through the Service are for informational and educational purposes only. Nothing Julius communicates should be construed as a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any financial product, security, or asset; as legal advice; or as tax advice. You should consult a qualified financial advisor, attorney, or tax professional before making any financial decisions. Julius makes no representation that any financial information delivered through the Service is accurate, complete, or suitable for your individual situation.
5. Waitlist and Email Communications
By submitting your email address to join the Julius waitlist, you consent to receive emails from Julius regarding early access availability, product announcements, and related updates. You may unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link included in every email or by contacting support@yourjulius.com. Joining the waitlist does not guarantee access to the Service.
6. SMS Communications — Consent and TCPA Compliance
By providing your mobile phone number and enrolling in Julius SMS alerts, you provide your prior express written consent to receive recurring automated text messages from Julius at the number provided, including transactional alerts (e.g., spending summaries, unusual transaction notices, budget warnings) and, where separately consented, marketing messages. This consent is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.
- Message frequency: Varies based on your account activity. You may receive multiple messages per day.
- Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier plan.
- To opt out: Reply STOP to any Julius text at any time. You will receive one final confirmation and no further messages will be sent.
- For help: Reply HELP or email support@yourjulius.com.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
You represent that you are the account holder or have authorization from the account holder to enroll the provided number. Julius complies with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), 47 U.S.C. § 227, and applicable state telemarketing laws.
7. Third-Party Financial Data Services (Plaid)
Julius uses Plaid to connect to your financial institutions. By linking your bank account through Julius, you agree to Plaid's End User Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. Julius is not responsible for Plaid's actions, omissions, or failures. The accuracy of financial data displayed through the Service depends on data provided by Plaid and your financial institutions. Julius does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any financial data.
8. Account Registration and Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify Julius immediately at support@yourjulius.com upon becoming aware of any unauthorized use of your account. Julius is not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorized account access that is not attributable to our gross negligence or willful misconduct.
9. User Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information when using the Service.
- Use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
- Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system, network, or data.

11. Disclaimers of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY OF FINANCIAL DATA. JULIUS DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS. YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK.
12. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, JULIUS AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, LICENSORS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF GOODWILL, SERVICE INTERRUPTION, COMPUTER DAMAGE, OR FINANCIAL LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
IN NO EVENT SHALL JULIUS'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO JULIUS IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100.00).
SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF LIABILITY FOR CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES. IN SUCH JURISDICTIONS, JULIUS'S LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Julius and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and service providers from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party right, including any intellectual property, privacy, or financial rights; or (d) any false or misleading information you provide.
14. Termination
Julius may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause or notice, and without liability to you. You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time by contacting support@yourjulius.com. Upon termination, all licenses granted to you under these Terms will immediately terminate. Sections 4, 11, 12, 13, 15, and 16 survive termination.
15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service that cannot be resolved informally shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. You and Julius each waive the right to a jury trial and the right to participate in a class action or class-wide arbitration.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to prevent the actual or threatened infringement of intellectual property rights.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Effective date" at the top of this page and notify you by email or prominent notice on the Service at least 30 days before the changes take effect.
